Reading Worksheets for Kids
I’ve been giving these worksheets a lot of thought as I know not all kindergartens approach this at the same level and naturally every child is at the same level (some will find these difficult, some will love them and for some they will be far too easy).
But in the end they will benefit many and that’s my aim.
I’ve made them fairy simple – short easy to read sentences and images that have to be either connected with the sentence or colored correspondingly.
For more early learning fun be sure to also check my other worksheets, I think your kids will really like the activity books.
If you have younger kids be sure to also check my free printable file folder games (perfect for sorting, color recognition, counting, pattern recognition…)
But let’s get back to early reading shall we?
Get Kindergarten Reading Comprehension Worksheets
There are 8 reading activity pages waiting for you.
Two of them ask the kids to connect the sentence with the picture that goes with it (for example they have to connect the sentence The apple is red. with the image of the apple.).
Other pages require the kids to read the sentences and color the images correspondingly – two pages have smaller images and 4 pages have a larger image of a boy or a girl and kids have to color their clothes and hair as described in the short “story”.
