Best Gifts for 3 Year Old Girls in 2017

Toys and other gifts appropriate for 3 to 4 year old girls!

Need an awesome idea for a super great gift for a 3 year old girl! We’ve met with some parents of 3 yr olds (mostly girls) and together we have come up with some great gift ideas – a few things girly (as with all the gender neutral rage we sometimes forget it’s OK to be a girly girl too), a few things more neutral, something educational, something fun – in the end something for everyone.

Most of these are naturally suitable for boys too (if you don’t mind the pink – if you do then be sure to also check the gift guide for 3 year old boys).

What Gifts Does a 3 to 4 Year Old Girl Want or Need?

Something super fun and that can be used over and over again. Something that makes them use their genius brains. Something colorful and fun!

Their first Microscope

Kids are natural explorers as their curiosity knows no limits so why not nurture that by introducing them to the micro world around them. This microscope will let them explore everyday objects in a new way and might even get them super interested in science in the long run.A must have for every child.Puzzle

A Pink Princess Castle

What’s not to love about this tent? It’s easy to set up and to put away (yay for parents) and it’s super pink and super fun for kids to play in.

This castle tent is perfect for indoors and outdoors so you can use it all year long.

Board Games

A 3 year old will slowly start learning numbers and developing skills to play board games. My nephew can play simple board games with a dice at 3 and a half. I do however suggest you start with a game that requires no reading or telling numbers such as this fun Count your Chickens Game.

This fun cooperative game (everyone works together to win this game and when they do they are all winners) will help with learning how to count and developing social skills.

I’ve got a whole section dedicated to board games for 3 year olds so be sure to check it.

Construction & Educational Toys for 3-4 Year Old Girls

All kids should play with construction toys – girls and boys. These kinds of toys help developing all kinds of skills.

Building Sets

Recently we are really loving the Magna tiles – they are gorgeous and allow for a lot of open ended building play.

Most parents that I’ve talked with about this toy love it as their kids tend to play with these tiles on daily basis. These are also super easy to clean and are really, really durable.

They help with developing math, tactile, spatial and science skills.

Marble Run

You can never go wrong with marble run! Never. It’s genius!

I had a way smaller version of this toy when I was a kid and the whole neighbourhood came to play with it. We played with it over and over again again.

I think this is a great toy both for girls and boys as it will provide hours and hours of creative fun.

Introduction to Electronics

Tablets aren’t just for fun they are a great tool to use for learning!

LeapFrog LeapPad3 offers a wide variety of learning games with kid favourite characters (Olivia, Octonauts, Disney characters, Hello Kitty, Barbie…).

Great for learning basic skills (pre-writing, writing, math, music, art…) in a fun way.

You can never have enough books!

Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots?

Get books, tons of books! They are inexpensive and make a great gift! There are a lot of books that are more than perfect for a two year old girl Do Princesses Wear Hiking Boots is just one of them.

I love this book as it has a great message – each and every girl is a princess – all she needs to be is to be herself. It’s not about glitter, it’s not about fancy dresses it’s about what’s inside.

Craft Kits

Let them express themselves with art! Crayons, kid friendly scissors, stickers… It all makes a great gift.

I choose this paper plate art kid as it makes 5 super fun (and not too hard) creations – funky bugs. It has all the basics supplies to introduce your kids to crafting with paper plates and once they are done with these they will be making up craft projects of their own.

Playsets

Pretend play is super important at this age and some of the kids favourites are doctors, vets, shop keepers, secret agents…

I’m really loving this Doc McStuffin’s Doctor Bag as it has all that your girl needs to heal all her toys that have been having fevers, headaches and other issues.
