Farm Animals Beginning Letter Clip Cards
The game is easy and fun to play. All you need is a few clothespins and this free page.
This printable includes 6 clip cards – a pig, a duck, a horse, a cow, a goat and a hen.
The goal is to practice the names of the 6 common animals that live on the farm. Use your clothespins and let the kids clip them in the accurate position.
After playing with these cards for some time, your kids will be able to mark the correct letter quickly and with confidence.
When your kids become faster at this game, encourage them to name the other letters. For example, there is a pig on the picture. The letters below are “e”, “g”, and “p”. The correct letter is a letter “p” for a pig on the picture.
After they mark the correct beginning letter of a pig (“p”) encourage them to find the animals starting with the other letters on the card (in this example: “e” and “g”). Let’s say the letter “e” could be for an elephant, an eagle, an emu and so on.
A good idea would be to laminate the cards in order to make them last longer so kids will be able to practice with them over and over again.
