What Gifts Does a 2 to 3 Year Old Boy Want or Need?

Something that they can play over and over again without it loosing appeal! Something that allows for more than one ways to play with. Something colorful and fun!

A Mini Amusement Park

This one is one of my favourites as it offers so many different ways to play and learn! When you see how the little one’s eyes spark up when they play with this toy you just know you’ve nailed it!

As cars zoom down the ramps there will be lots of  fun sounds, music, lights and other fun elements This one already comes with 2 Little People Wheelies (cars which fit perfectly in little hands) and you can get even more separately.

Love it and recommend it!

Bristle Blocks

We’re all about toys that allow for open play and these fun looking ones do just that plus offer a wonderful sensory experience.

This 85 piece set is a perfect starter one as it has just enough blocks to experience the fun. There are many other sets though so you’ll be able to expand these and then only the sky will be the limit to building creations.

Building Blocks

This is a must! I firmly believe building blocks should be in every household with kids! Mega blox for under two’s, Lego Duplo for two to three year olds and regular Lego for older kids (or other building block brands  naturally).

Building blocks offer thousands (yes thousands) of hours of open ended play! They are great for fine motor skills, in early ages can be used for color recognition and help raise creative thinkers.

Sports and Fun – Boys are Going to Love These

As we all want active, fit and healthy kids!

Let’s Shoot Some Hoops!

2 year olds are already pretty active, wobbly and looking like they will fall down any second but active :).

It’s never to early to moderately encourage sports or to better put it physical activity.

I really like this Basketball Hoop as it can be adjusted to 4 heights so they will be able to play with it for ages.

I had a similar one as a kid and I (and the whole neighbourhood) loved playing with it – either basketball or even more fun made up games.

Monster Bowling

Aren’t these just awesome! Bowling pins should be in every house hold if you ask me as they do wonders for coordination (and are super fun too!).

The pins are plush so kids can play with them like with any other plus toy until they master the art of bowling.

Great Books for 2 Year Olds

Best way to encourage your kids to love to read (later on that is) is to start reading books with them (to them) as early as possible. Giving them books with little text and lots of illustrations is a great way to get started.

The Going to Bed Book

I just love the illustrations in this book, the way the animals are drawn is just adorable.

The whole text is written in rhymes and I think this makes it fun for kids and easier to stay focused on the storyline.

The Pout-Pout Fish

The Pout-Pout Fish series are really, really fun! I mean just look at the expression of the fish!

As the above book this one too has text written in rhymes.
